NANDI BUSHELL

Drummer · Multi-Instrumentalist · Performer

Nandi Bushell is an extremely talented drummer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose talent and energy have made her one of the most recognisable young musicians in the world. Born in South Africa and raised in the UK, she began posting drum videos online at a young age, quickly gaining attention for her powerful playing, musical maturity and joyful stage presence.

Her viral drum covers, including Nirvana’s In Bloom and Foo Fighters’ Everlong, brought her global recognition, leading to collaborations with major artists and, most famously, a drum battle with Dave Grohl. In 2021, she was invited to perform Everlong live with the Foo Fighters at The Forum in Los Angeles, a moment that cemented her place in modern rock culture.

Nandi is a long-time Sontronics user, having worked with our microphones since 2021. She relies on the Sontronics Drumpack Plus for her drum recordings, capturing everything from her heavy rock covers to her own original music. For live performances, she uses the SOLO dynamic microphone, chosen for its power, clarity and ability to handle her high-energy playing on stage.

Alongside drumming, Nandi plays guitar, bass, keys and saxophone, and continues to write and release her own music. Her combination of musicianship, enthusiasm and creativity has inspired a new generation of young players, and we’re proud that Sontronics microphones are part of her sound as she continues to grow and evolve as an artist.
